Dragons Elite Athletics Launches Softball Program in Boca Raton

Building on the success of their baseball program, South Florida’s premier youth sports organization continues rapid growth with the addition of a professionally managed softball program

Dragons Elite Athletics, one of South Florida’s most dynamic youth sports organizations, is proud to announce the launch of its new competitive softball program in Boca Raton, offering girls in the region access to high-level training, team competition, and a clear path for athletic and personal development. Managed by Dominick Coppola, the newly appointed Director of Softball at Dragons Elite Athletics, the organization will focus on formalized development programs, professional coaches, and developing leaders on and off the field.

This expansion represents a major step in Dragons Elite's mission to provide sport-specific excellence, with the introduction of elite coaching talent specialized in competitive fastpitch softball. The program is designed for driven, high-potential athletes looking to sharpen their skills, compete at a higher level, and grow within a structured, supportive environment.

Building upon the successful professional training model that has contributed significantly to the success of our baseball teams, we are now applying the same rigorous standards and innovative coaching techniques to our softball initiatives.

To ensure the highest quality of instruction, we are bringing in a team of women coaches, most of whom are former Division I athletes. These coaches possess extensive experience and a deep understanding of the game, enabling them to provide expert guidance tailored to each athlete's needs. Additionally, we are incorporating specialized coaches focusing on hitting and pitching, two critical aspects of softball performance. These specialists are passionate about the sport and live and breathe softball, ensuring that athletes receive dedicated and focused training.”

The new Dragons Elite softball teams will follow the same disciplined, development-first approach that defines the broader organization. Athletes will benefit from a comprehensive program that blends technical training, game strategy, physical conditioning, and mental toughness, led by veteran softball coaches who’ve coached and played at the highest levels.

Dominick Coppola has over a decade of leadership and coaching expertise to guide and inspire athletes to put in the hard work and reach their full potential. He has double Masters in Education for Special Education and Educational Leadership, which he has been able to fully utilize in his career as a High School Athletic Director. Coppola also has 20 years of service as a Naval and Coast Guard reservist. As the Director of Softball at Dragons Elite Athletics, Coppola will leverage his extensive experience as a youth coach for multiple sports to create an environment that will cultivate both athletic and personal growth.

The new program will launch competitive softball teams initially in Boca Raton, led by specialized coaches with collegiate and elite-level experience. Training will follow the Dragons Elite Performance Framework, offering year-round development focused on skill-building, game intelligence, and leadership. The program is open to athletes who are ready for structured growth and high-level competition.

The Dragons Elite Softball program is part of the newly announced partnership with For A Bright Future Foundation’s Youth Athletics and Leadership Program, designed to all more high potential children participation in professionally managed sports programs and become leaders on and off the field.
